ReZoom™ and ReSTOR® Lens Implants for Puyallup, University Place / Tacoma, Auburn, and Western Washington

Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) - Cascade Eye & Skin Centers Intraocular lenses (also called "lens implants" or "IOLs") are placed inside the eye to replace a clouded natural lens that has been removed during cataract surgery. IOLs are often used to replace cataracts, but they are also sometimes used to correct refractive errors of the eye as an alternative to LASIK and similar refractive procedures. At Cascade Eye & Skin
Centers, P.C
., our eye surgeons use ReZoom™ and ReSTOR® lens implants to treat patients from University Place / Tacoma, Auburn, Gig Harbor, Puyallup, and the rest of western Washington. These lenses are some of the most advanced available, and they offer our patients excellent vision after surgery.

New advanced IOLs called "multifocal" and accommodating implants allow for both distance and near. These lenses can dramatically reduce dependence on reading glasses. Several different lens designs can be used to achieve multifocal vision.

ReZoom™ and ReSTOR® Multifocal Lens Implants

ReZoom™ lens implants are designed with five focusing zones arranged in concentric rings. Each zone focuses at a different distance.  ReSTOR® lens implants use another optical design where there is a gradual tapering of focusing zones from the center to the outside of the lens. This design creates a smooth transition between distance, intermediate, and near vision. Patients who choose ReZoom™ or ReSTOR® multifocal lens implants see well at far distance, but can also see at intermediate distance and up close. Together, you and your Cascade surgeon will decide which lens or combination of lenses is best for you. After receiving ReZoom™ or Restor® lens implants in our dedicated outpatient Surgery Center in Puyallup, patients from University Place / Tacoma, Auburn and all of Washington are often able to live their daily lives with little or no dependence on glasses or contacts.
